Washington, USA (Weltexpress). US President Donald Trump said he had given orders to deploy two US nuclear submarines ‘to appropriate regions,’ allegedly because of statements made by the deputy chairman of the RF Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev. Medvedev was president of the RF and is chairman of the United Russia party. This is the strongest party in the RF.

‘Due to the highly provocative statements made by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who is now deputy chairman of the Russian Federation’s Security Council, I have ordered that two nuclear submarines be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that,’ Trump wrote on the social network Truth (1 August 2025).

‘Words are very important and can often lead to unintended consequences. I hope this will not be one of those cases,’ Trump added. Experts and critics do not consider the US war president to be a dove, but rather a hawk, or worse: they consider Trump to be a warmonger.

The Pentagon – so called because of the shape of the building that houses the headquarters of the US Department of Defence – has not yet responded to TASS’s request for clarification on where the submarines were sent.

On 28 July 2025, Dmitry Medvedev wrote on social network X that Trump, who has repeatedly threatened Russia and declared a shortening of the timeframe for resolving the Ukraine conflict, should not forget that every ultimatum is a step towards (world) war. The proxy war has been going on in the artificial state on the edge of Russia, which is called Ukraine for this reason, since the fascist coup in February 2014.

On 31 July 2015, Medvedev called on Trump not to forget the danger of the ‘dead’. This was how he commented on the US president’s words about the Russian economy and his criticism of Medvedev himself on his Telegram channel. “About the “dead economy” of India and Russia and “entering dangerous territory” – well, he should remember his favourite films about the “walking dead” and also how dangerous a “dead hand” can be, “which does not exist in nature”, Medvedev wrote, adding a laughing emoji or smiley.

Experts and critics know that during the Cold War, a ‘dead hand’ was the term used in the Atlantic Pact military alliance to describe the Soviet ‘perimeter’ system, which guaranteed a massive nuclear retaliatory strike in the event of aggression against the USSR.

Before Medvedev responded on the world wide web, Trump commented negatively on his social media page Truth Social about the economies of Russia and India. He described both economies as ‘dead.’ He also criticised Medvedev personally. Trump is marching through world politics like a bull in a china shop.
