Today, Monday, the price of gold climbed to a new record high. The price of a troy ounce, which consists of 31.1 grams, rose by 1.5 per cent to over $4,403. The previous record was set in October 2025 at $4,380. Looking back further to the beginning of the year, the price has risen by 68 per cent.
Silver is being bought more than gold. Silver also reached a new record high. The price of one troy ounce of silver was $69.50 on Monday morning.
