Caracas, Venezuela (Weltexpress). Words, nothing but words, but what else are the men and women in the Kremlin, in Moscow, in the Russian Federation, supposed to do? For the current government of the United States of America (USA), what applied before still applies. North and South America belong to the Western Hemisphere, just as Western Europe, situated further to the east, does.

And the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela lies within this Western Hemisphere, this Western stronghold, this double continent. The country on the Caribbean Sea is dominated by the new Leviathan, the USA, which replaced the old Leviathan, the United Kingdom (UK), when the latter went down in the war against two German empires, even though the UK was not conquered by the Germans.

If anything, the remnants of the German Empire governed from Berlin – the fragmented ‘Small German’ solution – and the remnants of Austria governed from Vienna are two brother states, because they are two German states, regardless of what they are called. Added to these are further states that are still German.

However, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the RF are referred to as brother states in Caracas, specifically by Yvan Gil Pinto, the current Foreign Minister under Delcy Gómez as acting President. Speaking to a TASS correspondent at a ceremony marking the 81st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Russia, Yvan Gil Pinto is reported to have said: “Russia and Venezuela are brother nations, strategic partners, partners in upholding the United Nations Charter and within the Group of Friends for the Defence of the UN Charter, and they are committed to the creation of a multipolar, multicentric world.”

The Foreign Minister is also reported to have pointed out that diplomatic relations between Venezuela and the Soviet Union were established on 14 March 1945, even before the end of the Second World War. “Today, eighty years later, a world order has emerged that is full of challenges which can be met through cooperation, adherence to the UN Charter and friendship between peoples,” Pinto emphasised.

The big brother in the north of Eurasia was unable to defend the little brother in the north of South America against the Leviathan that is the USA. The USA invaded Venezuela on 3 January 2026, killing and injuring people and kidnapping Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife.

Neither the RF nor the CIS were able to offer any serious assistance. The BRICS states, too, once again proved to be paper tigers. Venezuela is considered a candidate for membership.
