Berlin, Germany (Weltexpress). An investigation by the Israeli newspaper Haʾaretz revealed that Netanyahu’s IDF soldiers were ordered to shoot Palestinian civilians waiting for humanitarian aid. One of the soldiers, who spoke to reporters anonymously, described the areas around the distribution centres as ‘killing fields’ where Zionists kill people. The report, published by Haʾaretz, which is considered a critical voice in Israeli society and advocates for a Palestinian state, was published on 1 July 2025 on the online portal of the communist magazine Contropiano. It states: Soldiers said they had repeatedly shot civilians who had gathered before and after the closure of food stalls in order to disperse the crowd. It is clear that there were neither security concerns nor any need to control the flow of people, but rather that the aim was to exploit the desperation of Gaza’s residents in order to maximise the impact of the massacres.
One of the soldiers who spoke to Haʾaretz said: ‘When I was stationed there, between one and five people were killed every day. They were treated like enemy forces, there were no crowd control measures or tear gas, just shooting with whatever weapons were available.’ He added: ‘Fire was our form of communication.’
According to other sources, local militias financed by Tel Aviv also fired on civilians. No Palestinian ever responded to the shooting, while these operations are macabrely referred to as ‘one, two, three stars’ within the ranks of the Israeli army. Anyone who has seen ‘Squid Game’ knows what that means: if you move, you die.
A reservist from the 252nd Division, one of the most important divisions in the vicinity of the aid centres, said that even asking about the reasons for such actions ‘irritates the commanders,’ adding: ‘Gaza is a parallel universe.’ An Israeli commander explained in an interview with Haaretz: ‘Killing innocent people has become normal.’
These massacres are therefore not the result of a mistake, a misunderstanding or the fears that may have been triggered by the crowd that gathered to get something to eat. It was a deliberate genocide, for which the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) also bears a heavy responsibility, because the massacres also took place near the few UN distribution centres. This non-governmental organisation, funded by Washington and Israel, was entrusted with the distribution of humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip.
These reports were accompanied by another equally disturbing piece of news. On Friday, 27 June 2025, the Gaza government press office announced that oxycodone pills had been found in flour sacks distributed by the GHF.
So far, there have been at least four reports of the discovery of tablets containing this opioid, which is used to treat severe and persistent pain. It is highly addictive and can cause hallucinations and respiratory problems. Essentially, it could be used as another means of destroying the consciousness, unity and resistance of the Palestinian people from within.
However, various accusations, even from the UN, have made it clear that the organisation has become an instrument of Zionist ethnic cleansing. ‘We don’t need a report of this kind to recognise that there have been massive violations of international law,’ said UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in response to a question from Al Jazeera about the information published by Haʾaretz.
However, this news completes the picture of operations carried out with the clear intention of genocide. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz condemned the Haʾaretz investigation, as reported by The Times of Israel. However, it must be said that a large part of the Israeli community, beyond these ‘unnecessary operations,’ strongly supports the process of ethnic cleansing.
