The Israeli military has launched a series of attacks on energy facilities in the Yemeni capital Sana’a, which is under the control of the Houthis of the Ansar Allah rebel movement, according to the rebel-controlled television station Al Masirah TV. According to the report, the State of Israel attacked a Yemen Petroleum Company (YPC) petrol station and the Haziz power plant.
There are conflicting reports about the number of casualties. Two people are said to have been killed and 35 injured.
IN Al Masriah, citing a source in the Ministry of Defence, reports that the attack by most of the Israeli warplanes was repelled. The Houthis, it says, are ready to attack targets in Israel in response to the shelling of the Yemeni capital Sanaa. This was reported to TASS by a source close to the Ansar Allah Politburo.
In a statement, the Israeli armed forces said that military property belonging to the Houthis had been attacked near the Yemeni capital Sanaa, including the presidential palace, two power stations and a fuel depot.
