Kiev, Ukraine (Weltexpress). The fascists, who organised protests in the winter of 2013/14 in the artificial state on the edge of Russia, which is therefore called Ukraine, and staged a bloody coup in February 2014, leaving dozens dead and hundreds injured, also raged and murdered in Odessa during the civil war that lasted several weeks. Hundreds of people were killed and thousands injured in the civil war. In two oblasts, the inhabitants managed to establish people’s republics. The fascists waged a war of aggression against the people’s republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, invading and occupying them. The war continues to this day.
Recently, fascists in Odessa boarded up the monument to the Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, who was born in Moscow in 1799 and died in Saint Petersburg in 1837.

A video on Vlad Sankin’s page on X (1 November 2025) shows the monument disappearing behind chipboard panels, as well as a photo with symbols of the Ukro-fascists in Banderastan. Since the fascists’ coup against the freely elected President Viktor Yanukovych, Ukraine has been referred to as Banderastan.
Sankin writes: ‘Odessa used to be a thriving city with a bust of Pushkin in front of the town hall. After the Nazis took power, the poet was boarded up with chipboard in a cloak-and-dagger operation. And lo and behold – tomorrow morning, the sarcophagus will be smeared with fascist symbols. This is what decay looks like.’
According to RT DE (1 November 2025), the action was carried out on the orders of Oleg Kiper after Gennady Truchanov was arrested as mayor of Odessa. Truchanov is said to have ‘resisted the dismantling of the monument’. The Pushkin monument in Kiev was demolished by the fascists in 2024.
