Moscow, Russia (Welttexpress). In Tyumen, the capital of the oblast of the same name in the south of the West Siberian lowlands, fountains beckon visitors to take a dip. People in the city and countryside are focussing on spa tourism and health tourism. The thermal spas in Tyumen are considered good, very good in fact.

RT DE (25 March 2025) refers to this and states under the title ‘Tyumen: Western Siberia relies on thermal spas and spa tourism’ that Tyumen has ‘become the thermal capital of Russia’. The text continues: “The thermal water here is similar in composition and temperature to the Hungarian thermal water in Budapest or Sárvár. And for Russians, Tyumen is increasingly taking the place that European thermal spas had before the sanctions and trade wars.”

The trend with the thermal spas in Tyumen continues, and continues, and continues. Quote: “Today there are around 22 thermal complexes in the Tyumen region with a total of 25 outdoor pools with thermal water. And this number is far from being the maximum. Because the demand for a holiday in Tyumen – and a bath in thermal water, which is said to have a rejuvenating and immune-boosting effect – continues to grow.”
