Berlin, FRG (Welt Express). Donald Trump has nominated Kash Patel, who has been publicly labeled “very dangerous” by FBI bigwigs, as the new director of the FBI. The “Deep State” and the mainstream media are in panic mode. This would be material for a political thriller series. But the show is just getting started.
Kash Patel, a former federal prosecutor and close associate of Donald Trump, is a controversial figure in US politics. He has now been nominated by the US President-elect to head the FBI, a decision that has caused a considerable stir, including in the German media. Sometimes reality itself is so satirical that it can only be ironized.
While there is no public record yet of Patel being labeled a “terrorist” or a direct threat to democracy in the United States, some former federal officials have already expressed concern about the potential impact on democratic institutions if he becomes FBI director. Former FBI Special Agent Daniel Brunner, for example, described Patel’s possible appointment weeks ago as “extremely dangerous” and suggested that he could cause “massive damage” to the FBI. And former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who was deeply involved in the “Russia Gate” witch hunt against Trump, said that with Patel in a leadership position, no area of the FBI would be “safe” anymore.
FBI and Deep State in panic mode
The Atlantic magazine, a feuilleton of the “Deep State”, also pointed out that Patel’s appointment was “highly controversial” due to his past as a “conspiracy theorist” and staunch Trump loyalist. Not least because of Patel’s plans to radically restructure the FBI, there is now horror there. For example, as one of his first acts in office, he wants to close the FBI’s Washington office, which would cut the direct umbilical cord of the politicized domestic intelligence agency to the Deep State, to the horror of many.
But The Atlantic has another reason for the panic among the representatives of the Deep State. The high-ranking officials and decision-makers in the government apparatus, who are referred to by this term and who have so far been able to continue in office regardless of the election results, have so far seamlessly advanced the hegemonic and war policy of the USA externally and the exploitation policy internally. It did not matter who had just been elected US president. According to the Atlantic, there are now fears in the Deep State that Patel will use the politically cleansed FBI for retaliatory measures, for example in retaliation for “Russia-gate”. This witch hunt began before Trump’s inauguration and aimed to make Trump unfit to govern, which was largely achieved.
For his second term as US president, Trump appears to be better prepared to make good on his 2016 election promise to drain the Washington swamp. With Patel, who wants to clean up the FBI and greatly reduce the agency’s staff, and with Elon Musk, who has been officially appointed by Trump as the supreme overseer of the efficiency of the government apparatus, Washington is facing interesting times; especially as Musk not only wants to dismiss half of the federal staff or send them back into (free) enterprise, but would also like to abolish the CIA altogether.
From the “Deep State” to “Deep Trouble”
These are the gloating comments already being made on the internet about the nomination of Kash Patel. After the appointment of J.F. Kennedy Junior as Secretary of Health and Human Services, the appointment of Kash Patel is Donald Trump’s boldest and most dangerous move to date. It is a direct challenge to the globalists and the Deep State, who see it exactly the same way. Patel announced his intention to release the Epstein list and the files on JFK and 9/11 – all of them!
Patel is a man of charisma and is no stranger to the USA. He made a name for himself as a public prosecutor and defense attorney in earlier years. Above all, however, he became famous with his bestseller “Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy”.
On Amazon, the book is advertised as follows: “The highest levels of government have been infiltrated by an anti-democratic ‘Deep State’ that can be defeated by refocusing our national security mission and relentlessly defending the truth.”
Trump himself wrote of the book, “A brilliant roadmap that highlights every corrupt actor to get our agencies and departments working for the American people again. … We will use this blueprint to take back the White House and remove these gangsters from the entire government!”
Patel, the terror of the FBI, could set to work in two months’ time with his clear plan to “drain the swamp” in Washington with the force of a bulldozer – but this time for real. This is why he has become the target of massive criticism in the mainstream media, not only in the USA, but also in the US vassal states, especially in Germany. In the German media, Patel is reported on exclusively negatively, using the usual stereotypes. “Hardliners”, “conspiracy theorists”, “ultra-rightists” – as usual, they inform, rather disinform in lockstep with the mainstream media in the USA.
However, if the mainstream media in the West go head over heels with indignation, then this gives hope that Patel is up to something really big. It could be exciting. Another reason for the German media’s excitement could be that the waves created by Trump, Patel and others are building up into a tsunami that will not stop at Europe.
