The wedding of one of the richest people in the world, billionaire and Amazon founder Jeffrey ‘Jeff’ Bezos, to former television presenter Lauren Sanchez in Venice will bring around 1.12 billion dollars into the Italian budget, reports the Reuters news agency. The wedding celebrations in Venice with 200 to 250 guests will cost between 47 and 56 million dollars, said the head of the Veneto region, which includes Venice.
The Italian Ministry of Tourism estimates the economic impact of the event at $1.12 billion, most of which will come from media coverage. Guests will spend $33.3 million on hotel rooms and $20.6 million on transport.
