New York, USA (Weltexpress). US Vice President James Vance said Ukraine should not be admitted to NATO.
“They (Ukraine – TASS) are not in NATO. I don’t think they should be in NATO,” he said in an interview with the 2WAY platform.
Vance also stopped short of calling Ukraine an ally of Washington and said it should stop striking Russian oil refineries. “As far as I know, we don’t have a formal alliance with Ukraine,” he added when the interviewer asked whether allies have a closer relationship than partners.
US President Donald Trump has repeatedly sharply criticized Vladimir Zelensky over strikes on Russian oil refineries. The US leader has said that Kiev is seriously harming global diesel markets, including in the United States, but that Zelensky does not care.
