Aircraft crash in the Republic of Korea

Berlin, Germany (Weltexpress). The death toll in the plane crash in the Republic of Korea, also known as South Korea, has risen to 174 people. This was announced by the Yonhap news agency. 167 deaths had previously been reported.

The plane crash occurred at Muan Airport. The passenger plane came off the runway and collided with a concrete wall. A fire then broke out. The Jeju Air aircraft was coming from Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.

There were reportedly 175 passengers (173 Koreans and two Thais) and six crew members on board. The authorities of the Republic of Korea assume that all but two survivors were killed. The survivors, a man and a woman, are said to have been in the tail of the aircraft.

According to spokesmen of the authorities, the landing gear of the aircraft is said to have failed. Photos and videos suggest this.
