Berlin, Germany (Weltexpress). Sitting front and center with a great HB beer and delicious Bavarian dishes, Berlin’s Hofbräuhaus is the place to be. Roughly 300 thirsty and hungry football fans enjoyed the FC Bayern versus Besiktas Istanbul Champions League classic.
Taking the game 5 – 0, the boys from Bavaria didn’t waste the opportunity.
Hofbräuhaus Berlin regularly uses the ‘BIg-Screen’ to show-case FC Bayern’s top-games. Every Bayern goal is enthusiastically celebrated with huge cheers and the proverbial clanging of mugs – Prosit! Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit (good cheer).
From the on-set, Besiktas was clearly in trouble. When Domagoj Vida received a 16th minute red card, the rest was perfunctory. Despite the early ejection, Bayern struggled to find the net, but Thomas Müller managed a 43rd minute ice breaker.
The second half was all FC Bayern – scoring four additional goals. Müller scored again in the 66th minute, Coman delivered in the 52nd minute and Lewandowski added two in the 79th and 88th minute.
The beer hall atmosphere was electric!
Should you be looking for an exciting venue to watch the next big FC Bayern football clash – you must experience true Bavarian traditions in the Hofbräuhaus Berlin. Bigger than your local pub and more delicious than a beer garden – the main event under the ‘Big Screen’ is a sports happening.
Go HB Berlin, Go FCB – Auf gehts!
