Moscow, Russian Federation (Weltexpress). The Russian Federation (RF) is ready to supply additional volumes of diesel to the United States of America (USA) and all its partners, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told TASS.
“Russia is ready to supply <…> 300,000 metric tons [of diesel] to the US market and to all our partners as early as October and increase diesel exports to roughly 500,000 metric tons in November and to 1 million metric tons in December,” Novak said on Friday, as he added that Russian diesel exports could potentially rise to almost 3 million metric tons per month further down the road.
US President Donald Trump thanked RF President Vladimir Putin for agreeing to supply diesel fuel to the US market, speaking to reporters at the White House.
“I think you heard about the oil deal with Russia. That is a big deal. That is massive amounts of oil coming into our country, and I want to thank President Putin, to be honest with you. We have massive amounts of oil being coming into our country, and it’s diesel, which is what we want. So, thank you,” Trump said.
“We need oil for the world, and this is diesel, which is what we need. So, we’re very happy to get it. We’re very happy to get it. Look, we need it,” Trump told reporters at the White House on Friday, commenting on the arrangements with the RFa.
In Trump’s view, “oil prices are already dropping like a rock.” “We’re very happy to get it,” he reiterated.
